Embracing Life’s Shifts (Finding God in Every Season)

Life is a journey of seasons. Some seasons come with joy, others with pain. Some bring clarity, while others leave us with questions. Over time, I’ve learned to recognize when shifts are coming, when change is unfolding and when newness is setting forth.

In the past, change filled me with fear.

But now, I lean into it with openness and faith. Why? Because I’ve come to understand that while change is not always comfortable, in God’s hands, it is always purposeful.

The Purpose in Change

Every season carries a lesson. Joy teaches us gratitude.

Pain teaches us resilience.

Uncertainty teaches us trust. With God’s guidance, I’ve learned to accept what life brings, to grow where He stretches me, and to rest in His wisdom when I do not understand.

The truth is this: life is constantly shifting. People change, circumstances evolve, and situations take unexpected turns. But through it all, one thing remains unshaken, is God’s sovereignty. He is faithful. He is constant. He is the anchor when everything else feels uncertain.

The Freedom in God’s Permanence

When we realize that nothing on this earth is permanent, we find freedom. Disappointments lose their grip, because they are temporary. Victories shine brighter, because they remind us of His goodness. And uncertainties no longer have the power to paralyze us, because we know the One who holds tomorrow.

This truth reframes how we see life. Endings are not just losses, they are also doorways to new beginnings. Shifts are not just disruptions, they are divine invitations to grow deeper in faith and closer to the One who never changes.

Walking Forward in Faith

As I walk through life’s shifting seasons, I do so with open hands and a surrendered heart. I trust that every change is purposeful and that God’s plan is far greater than what I can see. And I remind myself daily of this promise:

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”  Hebrews 13:8

So if you are in a season of change, whether it feels exciting or overwhelming, remember this: change is not the end.

It is the beginning of something new. And through it all, God remains sovereign.
